Calculate adult body mass index

Body mass index divides weight in kilograms by height in meters squared. For adults age 20 and older, CDC screening categories classify results as underweight, healthy weight, overweight, or obesity.

BMI is a screening measure rather than a diagnosis and does not directly measure body fat. Muscle mass, age, body composition, pregnancy, and other individual factors can affect how useful the number is.
